Personal requirements?
Checklist for renting a car with my-carrent.de:
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Driving licence held for at least 12 months
- Current identity card or passport with confirmation of registration (max. 6 months)
The registration of an additional driver is possible at any time. In this case, the person needs the same documents or requirements and there are additional 5€ per day in the process.
Payment and deposit?
The deposit for a binding reservation is in advance 50% of the total rental price. The amount of deposit is almost at all rental vehicles 500€. Exceptions are "luxury class vehicles", where the deposit is €1500, for example. With my-carrent.de the payment is simple & uncomplicated. You pay the applicable charges for your hire car and deposit by:

- EC-card
- Bank transfer
- Sepa direct debit
- Payment in cash
The remaining amount of the hire charge is due on collection at the latest. Your deposit will be refunded immediately after the return + processing or a quick check of the car on our part.
Insurance coverage?
Important: All vehicles have a fully comprehensive insurance. There are 1000 € excess included, in the rental price. You also have the option of reduction of the excess to 800€ - if you want. It costs only a fee of 10€ per day.
Other costs and insurance, such as vehicle tax, Gema fees or MOT costs, are also included in the rental price with every booking, so that you are always safe and carefree on the road.
Travelling abroad?
Planned trips abroad (within the EU) with a hire car, e.g. short trips or holidays, are no problem and are possible at any time.
In this regard, please note our GTC in the point 2.2.:
...the payment of toll fees, punctures, breakdowns abroad as well as the payment of costs for offences committed with the rental vehicle. Regulatory offences are not part of the provision and not included in this scope of services.
Returning a hire car?
The return of your hire car is required at the end of the contractually agreed hire period. The return or handover of the rented vehicle takes place, as with the collection, at our rental or pick-up station.
A rental car return at our rental station is also possbile outside our opening hours, if you arrange this with us in advance
